The Globaleather story began over twenty years ago when we launched our Classic Wheelchair Glove, especially for wheelchair users. We recognised that all wheelchair users are unique and that the ‘one size fits all’ solution for gloves at the time was simply not good enough. Wheelchair users deserved better. 

So, our Classic Glove was born, designed by a wheelchair user and made from only the finest materials that we could find. With the emphasis on comfort and protection, we incorporated unique design features such as adjustable hook and loop fastenings for a more comfortable fit and three stitched sections to provide targeted protection to the areas of the hand that need it most. The result was a hardwearing, breathable glove with a snug fit. Two decades later, our Classic Wheelchair Gloves are still as popular as they have ever been.

We have always listened very carefully to what our customers say and, over the years, have developed an evolving range of wheelchair gloves that cater for all users, whatever their age or the size of their hands. Our Suregrip Wheelchair Gloves, for example, feature a rubberised palm area that offers a safer and more secure grip on the wheelchair rim while also protecting against the formation of blisters and calluses. In fact, the grip on these gloves is such that they have proved ideal for cyclists and weightlifters as well as wheelchair users.

We also offer Easy Fit Wheelchair Gloves that help promote user independence and confidence because they are so easy to use, and our Lite Gel Palm Wheelchair Gloves are aimed at the more sport-minded with Lycra backed palms that help draw sweat away from the skin.

The Children’s Wheelchair Gloves are made to the same exacting standards as our adult gloves, just for smaller hands and, like all of our gloves, can be ordered in a wide range of sizes. They can all be washed at low temperatures as well to ensure longevity.
