Globaleather were among the guests at a special event held at the Mountbatten Centre, Portsmouth on the evening of Wednesday 12th June. Hosting the event was adaptive rower Paul Smith, who has recently completed Challenge the Channel – a 25-mile row in the English Channel – in support of Breast Cancer Haven.
The evening was an opportunity for Paul to recount his journey from learning to row to taking on the Channel just ten months later in memory of his late friend Marjorie Anne Walker and to raise funds for an extremely worthy cause.
It was also an occasion when Paul could say thank you to those who had supported him in his challenge, including Globaleather. The glove manufacturer’s Edward Pont was on hand to receive a commemorative salver on behalf of the company (above). Thanks Paul!
